Retention of candidate data
- Set the retention period for each of your organisations in the ADMIN/Rgpd menu .
- Set the retention period for manually entered applicants for whom you do not yet have GDPR approval, for each of your organisations, in the ADMIN/Rgpd menu.
You must indicate the deadline and activate the box below for automatic deletion. In this way, in accordance with the law, applicants who do not interact within this period will be deleted.
With regard to data retention periods in general, article 6.5° of the LIL (French Data Protection Act) and article 5e of the GDPR state that personal data may only be retained "for a period that does not exceed the period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and processed". With regard to the data of job applicants in particular, the CNIL has given its opinion on what it means by "necessary duration". The CNIL therefore recommends that the period for which information is kept (on computer and paper) should not exceed 2 years after the "last contact" with the person concerned.
